My journey didn’t start at an easel, but in a laboratory: I hold a PhD in Biology, and the habit of observing, recording, and looking for patterns is still alive in my landscapes. Only now, the focus isn’t on science, but on the forest — its rhythms, the changing light, the textures of bark, and the interweaving branches.
Moving into art didn’t mean giving up precision — on the contrary, I made it part of my artistic language. I studied at the Stanislav Brusilov School of Classical Landscape, the Moscow Academic Art School, and the Institute of Arts at Kosygin University to combine the observant eye of a scientist with the expressiveness of an artist.
I paint in oil using brushes: it’s important for me to preserve a living, “breathing” texture so that the viewer can feel the roughness of the bark, the coolness of the shade, and the warmth of the light. In every tree, I look for character; in every study, for a fleeting state that I want to hold on to.

For me, landscape is a way to speak about silence and harmony, about how nature tells its stories to those who are ready to listen.
